Rider Safety
Your safety is the number one priority at Bike MS. That’s why we ask that you review this information about personal safety, group riding skills, cycling etiquette and bike maintenance. It is highly suggested to get your bike inspected before ride weekend – this ensures you have a safe experience on the route. For more information on bike inspections, visit our Bike Shop page. We will also have bike mechanics on site for inspections on Friday 3-9 p.m. and Saturday 6:30-8 a.m.

Friday Night Vendor Expo
Join us at the New Bern Convention Center from 3-9 p.m. to mingle with some of our favorite sponsors and vendors including: Biogen, Genentech, Cycling Spoken Here, Team CBC, Mitchell’s Hardware’s, Charguardz, Green Tea Hawaii, Thornbury Brides, Nothing Bundt Cakes and La Casetta. We’ll also have a Quilt Raffle, our annual bike raffle, a Bike MS merchandise table and more! Hope to see you there.

New Rider/Safety Orientation
Whether it’s your first year riding or you’re a veteran, you’ll want to freshen up on our safety/group riding tips. Attend our orientation on Friday evening at 5, 6, 7 or 8 p.m. for more info. New rider orientation is led by Bike MS cyclists and Ride Marshals, Brandy Sadler and Mike Rogers. Special thank you to them for leading the group! We will also give away various Bike MS swag items at each class.

Saturday – Ride Weekend
The ride begins promptly at 8 a.m. and will have a staggered start, with TeamCBC, #1 Fundraising Team from 2017, leading our start line. We will serve lunch in Union Point Park at the refueling station for 30 and 50 milers and on route at Rest Stop #4 for the 75 and 100 milers. After you cross the finish line, come visit our Football Viewing Tent and get a massage in Union Point Park. We will serve a buffet dinner and Carolina Brewing Company beer inside the New Bern Convention Center. Purchase guest tickets online or at our volunteer desk throughout event weekend. End the evening by dancing the night away with Trainwreck 5-9:30 p.m. and join us for our Awards Celebration at 7 p.m. behind the Convention Center on the Veranda.
