Although the route signup says LONG, the route itself is a SHORT route for the winter rides. Sorry for the glitch in the system, we are working to remedy the situation. Please choose your speed so that others will know with whom they can ride.
All rides leave from Thanksgiving Elementary School, 1161 Lynch Rd. Selma, NC.

Emails go out on Wednesdays of each week and will contain information about route and departure time.
General information:
SAG supported rides are provided on a volunteer basis. Sign up for SAG can be found under RIDES.
Things to ponder before Saturday…
Bike Safety:
Each year you should have your bike inspected to ensure it is in working order. This is also a requirement to ride in Bike MS New Bern.
Each training ride one should bring:
1. Helmet
2. Bike shoes
3. Gloves
4. Eyewear
5. ID Card
6. Bike safety lights
7. Bike GPS/Phone (suggested) or a printed cue sheet for the route.
8. Charge batteries for E-bikes or electronic shifters.
Group cycling etiquette:
1. Leave no cyclist behind.
2. When passing call out "On your left".
3. Call out "Car back, or Car up" when appropriate.
4. Use hand signals for turns, slowing, and stopping.
5. Call out for holes/ debris/ gravel, in the road so that the rider behind you will be prepared to deal with it.
6. Let other cyclists know if you are dropping back or going ahead of the group.
